The Franklin County Detention Center is a detention center for adult inmates located in Ozark, AR. This medium-security facility is operated by the Franklin County Sherriff’s Department. This jail accepts inmates not only from Franklin County but also from the nearby towns.
As soon as an offender arrives at the jail they are processed and taken to the intake where they are observed closely. The staff examines the inmates’ behaviors and the inmates that are out of control and violent are segregated.

There are even times where the inmates have some time taken off of their sentences. This also allows inmates to learn new skills.
Inmates are held in 2 to 3 person cells where they spend most of their day. However, there are certain times of the day when the inmates have the opportunity to go to the common area, library and the recreation area.
