Sending a Mail/Care Package

Yes, you can have the right and privilege to send an inmate a letter. These letters will be checked upon arrival. All correspondences will require an inmate to have money on their books to purchase paper, pens, stamps, and envelopes to use in order to send you these letters.

Sending Money

If you would like to make sure your inmate is taken care of, you will need to send them money. Most of the time you can either use JPAY, Western Union, or MoneyGram to do this. You can also send a money order as well, if you are not willing to pay service fees.

Phone calls

One of the few things that an inmate can do inside the Springfield Jail is to use the telephone. The telephones will be available during the daytime hours. Inmates will have the opportunity to pick up the phone and call home.

Visitation

Visitation here in the facility is by appointment only. Visitation will only happen on Thursdays between the hours of 9 am to 3 pm. You will be required by the staff to leave all belongings in your vehicle. The facility is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.
