Most women who are sentenced in North Carolina will serve their time at the Raleigh County Correctional Center for Women.
About Raleigh Correctional Center for Women
This facility houses offenders who are a minimum security risk as well as those who are a medium security risk. It is the largest correctional facility for women in all of the state of North Carolina. There are 1,288 inmates at any given time. All inmates are given medical, dental, alcohol, and substance abuse treatment.
Inmate Search
Before doing anything else, you will want to do an inmate search. The inmate search allows you to make sure the person you are looking for is in fact located at the facility. You will also be able to get the inmate’s ID number which you will need to send mail, visit, and set up a phone account. keep this number in a safe spot.

How to Visit an Inmate
You may only visit an inmate by appointment. Visits are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis. You must be approved on the offender’s list to visit. To schedule a visitation, call 919-508-1501 or 919-508-1502 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
