The State Prison for Women has Cutting-edge security technology that has been deployed throughout the facility, including 271 surveillance cameras. This facility also has a large educational area, a nondenominational chapel for worship as well as a Family Connections Center.
Inmates are housed in double and single bunk cells with not much room to move around. There is no privacy for inmates considering they all have to eat, get dressed, use the restroom, and even shower in the company of other inmates. Inmates have 3 meals a day provided for them but are given very little time to eat and are not allowed to get seconds.

Inmates are able to learn a new skill by participating in vocational training for when they are released back into the community. The inmate will be able to find a job using the new skill they have learned and achieved here in prison.
When inmates at the State Prison for Women are willing to learn and change often leave the prison when they are released in better shape than when they first arrived at the prison.
