Dannemora, NY is home to Clinton Correctional Annex. The Clinton Correctional Annex is a maximum security state prison for adult male inmates that are 16 years of age and older. This facility houses about 3,00 inmates.
The New York Department of corrections is responsible for operating this facility where inmates are supervised. The inmates eat, get dressed, use the restroom, and even shower in the company of other inmates leaving them with little to no privacy. Inmates are housed in double as well as single cells with a minimal amount of space to move around.

- Custodial Maintenance
- Building Maintenance
- Flooring
- Masonry
- Horticulture
- Electrical
- Printing
By participating in the vocational training listed above inmates get to learn a new skill that will allow them to find employment once they are released from prison.
Clinton Correctional Annex’s inmates are able to take part in the following services and programs:

- Substance Abuse Treatment Programs
- GED
- Adult Basic Education
