The Southeastern Correctional Complex is a minimum-security detention center that can be found downtown Lancaster, NC. Inmates must meet the following criteria to be held in a minimum-security facility:
- Inmates pose very little to no risk to public safety.
- Inmates are required to have less than 8 years on their sentence.
- Inmates must be non-violent with a clear disciplinary history.

The Southeastern Correctional Complex can house as many as 430 inmates. This facility was once the Southeastern Correctional Complex, that had released a large number of parolees into the community. It was converted to the Southeastern Correctional Complex by the state in 2015.
The Southeastern Correctional Complex provides a number of programs and services for the inmates to utilize. These programs and services are designed so that the inmates are released into the public are in better shape than when they first arrived at the prison. This can only happen if the inmate is willing to change and learn. Inmates that participate are more likely to not end up back in prison.
