Vocational training provides the participants with meaningful work while inmates learn valuable job skills in a realistic work environment including wood working and cast iron work. Inmates also have the opportunity to earn a certification in master clock repair, as a hospice care giver, electrical wiring, refrigerant certification, HVAC, and SAE automotive certification.
Local churches, foundations, members of the public and local civic groups collect and make donations to cover the cost of tuition, textbooks, and supplies for the educational programs.
This facility is operated by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections where they supervise adults that have been convicted of state crime and then sentenced by the County or Circuit Judge for a period of time.
