New Visions’s mission is to assist residents in making successful transitions back into the community by providing therapeutic counseling and social and employment skills.
Inmates who are serving time at New Visions are housed in separate areas depending on the crimes they committed, their current risk assessment, and their behavior.
New Visions offers a work release program which allows the offender to obtain and maintain a paying job in the community while requiring them to conform to the structure of the program at the facility. The money that the offender earns is sent directly back to the facility.
Arrendale Transition Center offers many programs for its inmates including a GED program, Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous, Re-Entry, Thinking for A Change, Family Violence, Job Readiness, Health Education, Moral Recognition Therapy, Motivation For Change, Work Ready Assessment, and various religious services.
Inmates are allowed recreation time outside each day where they can exercise or simply enjoy being outside.
Inmates are given three meals a day, along with snacks that can be purchased from the commissary. All meals are approved by a dietician.
