- Substance Abuse Treatment Programs
The West Tennessee State Prison has the TRICOR operations which consist of farming and a textile plant that the inmates work at.
The West Tennessee State Prison is made up of three sites. Site two and three are right next to each other. There is only a series of fences that separate them. The site two location consists of the following units:
- Maximum Security Inmates Housing
- High-Security Inmates Housing
- Closed Security Inmate Housing
- Disciplinary Segregation Inmate Housing
- Medium Security Inmate Housing
Medium and minimum security inmates are held in the site three location. Site one which is also known as the annex building is where the minimum security inmates are housed.
Daily amenities such as commissary and TV viewing areas are provided for the inmates held in the West Tennessee State Prison.
The inmates eat, get dressed, use the restroom, and even shower in the company of other inmates leaving them with little to no privacy. Inmates receive 3 meals a day but are not given much time to eat and are not allowed to have seconds.
