The FDC SeaTac or also known as the Seattle Federal Prison is classified as a medium-security facility that also runs a prison camp that oversees minimum-security inmates.

The FDC SeaTac is home to the Seattle in Washington.

Between the two facilities they can house just over 686 offenders. The FDC SeaTac can comfortably house just under 686 offenders and the camp can comfortably house just under 686 offenders.

When the FDC SeaTac first opened it was meant to house maximum-security inmates and was once known as the largest maximum-security facilities in all the United States. However, the status of this facility changed in 2005.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

To send mail to the camp or the main campus, please use the following mailing address:

If you use the physical address for the facility, your mail will be refused and sent back to the post office.

All incoming mail will be required to have a return address on the envelope as well.

Sending Money

Sending money to an offender in the FDC SeaTac is easy as pie now. All you need to do is either use MoneyGram or Western Union. You can do so by going to the local kiosk, online, or over the phone.

Please be aware that there is a service fee to use this service.

Phone calls

Phone calls will be a maximum of 15-minutes in length. You will not be permitted to use call features such as three-way calling, call forwarding, and call waiting.

All calls will be subjected to monitoring or recording by a staff with the facility.


You will only be permitted to visit the offender at the FDC SeaTac between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm during Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sundays, along with holidays.

The camp will only have visitation on Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays.

All inmates will have 24 visiting points at the start of each month. Every hour of visiting during the weekdays will cost them 1 point. Every hour of visiting on the weekends will cost them 2 points.
